Choose me a logo!

Did I mention my husband is an illustrator?  Ooops… Yes, he’s very talented, but no, he’s never illustrated any of my books.  But he HAS put together a few possibilities for a logo design for my site.

Anybody want to help me pick the best one???  Here are my favourites out of what he’s come up with – along with a couple I don’t like much, just to mix things up…

I could seriously use some help here… Let me know in the comments which you like best!

  1. The bottom left design strikes me as the most appropriate Paul Oughton

  2. I like the top left. My husband likes the bottom right, and then second choice is bottom left. I know that doesn't help much does it. That is 3 out of 6.

  3. Hmm, I do love the owl upper right. An owl becomes wise by reading books, so I think he needs a book!

  4. Owl on the upper right & the flying book

  5. Thanks, guys! All this feedback is very helpful. At least for proving my husband wrong - he said it WASN'T an owl; can you believe it??? "Just a bird," my foot. Look at those eyes!

  6. I like the bottom left the best - the turtle on the book. There's a good balance of elements and I like that there's a book as part of the logo (and a bonus that it's opened!)

  7. I like the owl because it's simple, memorable and can be versatile.
    Hope that helps :)

  8. I think I prefer the turtle on the book - nicely balanced and includes a book.
Second choice - the Owl - reputed to be a thinking being

  9. Okay, based on all of these, and other input, I'm leaning towards an owl with a book. I like the turtle PLUS the owl because there are all kinds of kids, right? Like wise ones and slow ones. :-)
Still - balance and lack of clutter count for a lot, too.
